How fair use works

Spot plans and dedicated lines on Kontri are unlimited: they keep working until they expire. Each one includes an amount of data at full speed, and you can add more whenever you like.

  1. 1Your plan runs at full speed up to its fair-use amount. That amount comes from the plan's price at the venue's rate per gigabyte, so a bigger plan gets more. You see it at checkout, before you pay.
  2. 2When the full-speed data is used, the plan does not end. It keeps working at the fair-use speed shown at checkout until it expires. That speed is still enough for chat, email, maps and music. Video and big downloads will feel slow.
  3. 3To get full speed back, add data. There are three block sizes, Lite, Plus and Max, and you can buy as many as you like, from the app or from the WiFi page. A block lasts until your plan's current period ends. A renewal starts a fresh period with the plan's own allowance. The biggest block, Max, is the best value per gigabyte.
  4. 4The same rule applies to a dedicated line at a home or an office. The line card shows its fair-use amount and the door to add data.

Roam bundles are different. A roam bundle is a fixed number of gigabytes you can use anywhere on the network, and it ends when they are used up.
