Connect a TV

A TV cannot sign in like a phone. It shows a short code instead, and your phone does the signing in for it.

  1. 1On the TV: open Settings → Network → WiFi and pick the venue's KontriWiFi network.
  2. 2A sign-in page opens on the TV with a six-character code and a QR code. If nothing opens within a minute, open the TV's browser and go to wifi.kontriwifi.com.
  3. 3On your phone: KontriWiFi app → Devices → Connect a TV, then type the code or scan the QR with the camera.
  4. 4Pick the plan it rides on. The TV is online in a few seconds, and you can name it.

By brand

Android TV and Google TV (Hisense, TCL, Skyworth, StarTimes boxes)
Settings → Network and Internet → WiFi, then pick the network. If no page opens, look for a Sign in to network notice and open it.
Samsung (Tizen)
Settings → General → Network → Open Network Settings → Wireless, then pick the network. The sign-in page opens in the TV's Internet browser.
LG (webOS)
Settings → All Settings → Network → WiFi Connection, then pick the network. If nothing opens, start the Web Browser app.

A TV with no web browser that never shows a sign-in page cannot be connected yet. Ask at the venue, or message support from the app at app.kontriwifi.com/support.
